What heat wave?

Have you seen this commercial?

Where the woman is skipping through a forest and dancing in falling leaves? Seriously, it could have screamed "Laura you need this!" any more loud.

I am addicted to fall stuff. As my family is already sick of all the pumpkin treats, and it's only the end of September. But I got a buy one, get one free coupon in the Sunday Paper, and got these candles ASAP!. They are lit right now by the computer. I'll tell you they aren't very stinky at all! Very subtle.

And did you know we (and it seems the rest of the West Coast) is having a heat wave? It's Autumn and 102 outside. And I have these candles burning AND playing holiday music. Oh yeah I'm that crazy. But when I was in Seattle, it was foggy and cold by this time already, and holiday music was perfect. Same as last year, I do miss it a bit, as I love Fall and wouldn't mind some clouds and cooler weather right now.

But speaking of candles, scents and Autumn, I had a moment to drop into Bath & Body Works yesterday, a store I hadn't been in for quite awhile. And they have their Autumn scent out - and it's AMAZING. I want it. My new Lemming....Autumn Candles.

I'm obessed.

This is not shocking news.

I fixate on things (as my husband tells me). And I think he's right.

I know another blogger and she gives her obsessions a cuter name "Lemmings". So let's stick with that. Besides jewelry, clothes, shoes, and makeup - I could swear I have other things I like...oh yeah perfume too!

I swear if you met me (spontaneously, not when I get time to get all gussied up) you'd be surprised I'm the same girl from the blog, because I'm just a frumpy ol' mom in dirty jeans and day old shirts.

Yesterday I had on some old, ripped, hardly fit jeans. They are a wrinkled mess. But it was "Shuttle Kids Around Day" and well, I just toss on stuff. Even though that's what I usually do everyday (not if I go to work) I left on some cute new earrings. Know what? I caught a glimpse of my wrinkled, frumpy, greasy pony-tailed self, and I felt pretty! I know! Crazy!

Seriously, it was the jewelry. I felt more put together. Something sparkled and so did I!

Just a simple pair of earrings. I think that's why I really started with lia sophia, must be that missing little girl inside me wanting to get out!
